PRESS
This pedagogical project was developed on the basis of the need to develop the theme of “Global Education” in schools and universities, taking into account the requests of UNESCO. Specifically, it is part of the Strategic Objective 2 of the UNESCO Education Strategy 2014-2021 entitled: “Empowering learners to be creative and responsible global citizens”. In this document the themes of global citizenship and human and sustainable development are fundamental and can be summarized in the following points: 1) Building peace in the minds of men and women and promoting human rights for global citizenship; 2) Developing effective education systems that help educators acquire knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and behaviors that serve to create more peaceful, inclusive, egalitarian and sustainable societies; 3) Encouraging the active participation of citizens at the local, national and global levels in an increasingly interconnected world to learn to live together; 4) Promoting human and sustainable development education as an integral element of quality education and as a fundamental part of pedagogical studies.

PROJECT APPROACH
The project is divided into the following four phases:
First reconnaissance phase: We take stock of the situation to understand what scientists say about the current era: the Anthropocene. The aim is to make students aware of global emergencies in an interconnected world.
Second theoretical phase: The study of the three main themes: Peace Studies, human and sustainable development and the intercultural diversity of the Mediterranean is addressed.
Third project phase: Stories are built using the information collected during the first two phases of the project, following the scheme of the Propp Cards.
Fourth operational phase: We work to give power, imagination and creativity to the students.

METHODOLOGICAL AND DIDACTIC ASPECTS
The work takes place between Messina, Venice and Valencia. Schools, Universities, Associations, NGOs and other local authorities are part of the collaboration network.
